About the Doctor

Dr. Kentaro Yokota, MD

Hello! Welcome to Japan, and welcome to Sapporo !
My name is Kentaro, but since Japanese names are quite hard to pronounce, just call me Ken.
I was born in Japan and spent 6 years living in Cardiff, UK when I was a kid. That’s why I have a British accent. (Cardiff is located at the south part of Wales, but I cannot speak Welsh…Of course I took lessons at school but I hardly remember anything..that I must apologize to my Welsh teachers)
Llysfaen primary school, Llanishen High school are the schools I went and was in the rugby team.
I came back to Japan when I was 12 years old, and living here since.
I graduated medical school in 2001, and started training as a surgeon ( mainly gastrointestinal cancer, and also breast cancer, and lung cancer ). After more than ten years of training as a surgeon I switched my profession to internal medicine, and started my own medical clinic.
